1914-15 Star Trio. 8th London Regiment (Post Office Rifles)

A VERY unusual rank and a highly sought after London unit.

(Note: On purchase, this trio of medals came mounted on a board with 39-45 star- France & Germany, Defence, War, 1953 Coronation and a "miniature' R.A.F. (QEII) L.S.G.C.* (*and full size associated ribbon, but no full size LSGC !)
Assuming he was circa 17 years of age when he went to France in 1915, it is therefore quite possible that Dunkley served with the RAF in WW2 (aged 4
2 in 1939) and up until at least 1953 as he would only have been 55.
Further research may confirm.
