To: J. ATKINSON. 11th HUSSARS.
1723 Private James Atkinson was enlisted in July /August 1854 and was quite obvioulsy 'hurried' out to the Crimea with not a great deal of training.
He was discharged at the Reduction of the Regiment: 31December 1856
This pedigree medal is recorded as being in the Turtle Collection in 1919.
Although James Atkinson did not take part in The Charge he was still a member of the famous Light Brigade.
Medals to the 11th HUSSARS are highly sought after.
