I want to thank Alan Thomas and Medals of England for preserving my father's memory for all of us. Frank S. Foyston, RCAF DFC, died at the tragically young age of 47 in 1967 when I was just 17, and we were left only with photos and medals and memories. It wasn't until Alan did his research and posted it on his website that my siblings and I really undersood that my father -- who never liked to talk about his war -- was a humble hero: yes, like so many others. We knew that he had fought a long war, but we had no idea of the true extent...Alan brought the man to life for us and for posterity. Better yet, we have no real heirs to give those medals and photos, and now they belong to someone who cherishes them where they might just have gone to a charity thrift shop or worse, into the bin. Bless you and thank you Alan for being a stand-up guy, a scrupulously honest businessman and most of all, for preserving my father's memory... best regards;

Just wanted to pass on my thanks to Alan and his team. Having found a number of my Grandfathers old war medals in the attic gathering dust I started some basic research into them. I came across a number of websites but medalsofengland.com stood out from the rest. A quick email to Alan followed by a very prompt response led to a wonderful telephone conversation again with Alan who filled me with confidence that the medals would be safe in his hands and treated with the respect they deserve. I followed Alans instructions on how to get the medals to him and the following day Alan called me with a price which was fair and the money was transferred into my bank account within minutes. I cannot recommend Alan and his team highly enough.

Hi Alan, Several years ago I purchased several coins from you...that I thought were beautiful and you said "were decent representations" of the types I wanted.
These ranged from a Half Penny of 1860, a LIMA Half Crown and others.

I recently sent them to P.C.G.S. to have them graded for insurance purposes.
The grades are back today and they have STUNNED ME!!! :-)

They are SUPERB ! and MUCH higher than I anticipated and this has instantly added MUCH value to the coins which you sold me. You certainly picked some fabulous pieces for me, the "ignorant" collector.
