1914 Star and Bar Trio, WITH MEMORIAL PLAQUE (ARTHUR CHARLES HAWKINS)

Hawkins was born in Surbiton, Surrey and lived in Addleston, Surrey. He joined the RFC on 15th July 1914 as one of the last 100 entrants to sign up before war was declared on 5th August. Landed in France on 7th November 1914 and joined No.4Squadron. Died aged 21 of Septicaemia on Friday 5th February 1915 after only 12 weeks in the field. Hawkins was a metal turner in civilian life. Includes copies of attestation papers, Death Certificate and MIC.
