[BIOGRAPHY]AARON SALISBURY was born on 19th October 1853 in PRESTON, LANCASHIRE. Prior to enlisting into the Royal Navy in 1873 at age 20 he had been a cotton spinner. He served in 14 different ships as an Able Seaman between 1873 and July 1882, before his entry into ships HMS THALIA, HMS TOURMALINE, HMS LONDON, HMS CYGNET & HMS ROYAL ADELAIDE in which ships he served between 27th JULY 1882-- 23rd APRIL 1884, during the Egypt Campaign.[CONDUCT REPORT]His conduct seemed it be fairly good until late 1880 when he is seen in the Cells aboard HMS INDUS. Then, in early 1881 he is again seen in Jail for 28 days. Yet again in October 1883 he is seen serving 42 days in Jail ( with hard labour ).
The Egypt Medal is practically GEM MINT STATE with non of the usual 'star' contact marks found on 99.9% of all Egypt medals (SUPERB & VERY RARE IN THIS CONDITION)With copy of his full service history sheet SOLD
