A “spare” & “unattributed” 1941 Distinguished Flying Cross is a seriously uncommon item of great desirability.
It’s at least as rare as the fabled 1940 ”Battle of Britain” cross but only half the price ! Looking back through our records we see that the last one we had available was in 1979 ! ......43 years ago...and to be honest we have seen very few in attributed groups either.
The vast vast majority of the 20,000 DFC’s awarded were for the bomber command campaign of 1944 & 1945.
If you are a serious collector of rare & superb flying medals you’ll go a very long way before seeing another one of these to add to your collection.
The DFC & other medals are all in original EF condition on original ribbons.
