French Croix de Guerre 1914-1917 (with Star).
(+ Royal Life Saving Medal)
To: G. F. BOLT
(Doctor in French Red Cross)
An unusual WWI pair and Croix de Guerre (and Star) to an English Medical Doctor working with the French Red Cross.
This trio comes with the lid from the War and Victory medal box of issue and very unusually the original box for the Croix de Guerre, with star and a ribbon tape and star. (I can't remember ever having seen another original C de G box !) Also included is a Royal Life Saving Society medal engraved G.O. BOLT AUG 1940 .
Medals are practically Mint on Original Ribbons
£345 (RARE)
Note:Although the initials "G.O." do not tie in with the G.F. ( George F.) on the medals we think that this medal was also the property of the Doctor.
