He was the winner of the Iron Cross 2nd Class, The War Merit Cross with Swords and the Eastern Medal, and of a wounded badge (for a serious mouth wound) which occurred during the infantry storm action and the heavy defensive fight in Pecovska ( Slovakia ) which took place on the 21st January 1945.
He fell in the 26th year of his life for his beloved Helmat .
