but this particular plaque was purchased within 25 miles of Grimsby.)

Pte W. Wharton probably knew my Great Uncle Jack,  1107. Pte John William Camplin who was also Killed on 1st July 1916 with the Grimsby Chums at La Boiselle on the Somme. (*see his picture on our home page)
