(A VERY EARLY P.O.W, 26th AUGUST 1914)
A lovely group of five to an early pre-war regular soldier (same service number throughout) . Skelley entered France on 13th August 1914 and was sadly captured on the 3rd day of fighting in World War 1.
(26th August 1914) His war only lasting 13 days !
Frederick Skelley arrived in Holland on transfer from Germany for internment on 24th February 1918. Notified by The Hague. Repatriated 18th November 1918. Discharged (from 2nd Engagement) 27th March 1919. Came from Aberdeen. With copy MIC and copy attestation and servicer papers etc.
