Sym FULL SERVICE & MEDICAL PAPERS.Medal is toned black ebony(much more evenly than the photo suggests ....just like a piece of jet black coal.) 'Mint State' .....Superb ! Prior to enlistment at Grantham or Newark on 19th or 24th July 1883, aged 22. Pte Robert Cowlam was a plasterer. He had previously served in the 4th Bn Lincolnshire Regt. Born in Sleaford, Lincolnshire in 1861. He landed in India on 2nd April 1884 aged 23. He was of 'exemplary' character and was discharged at Newcastle on Tyne on 16th July 1895 aged 34. £495
