William Watkin took part in the famous Niagara Raid and Battles of Ridgeway and Fort Erie 2nd-21st June 1866. The unit was part of 36th Peel Battalion.

Only 25 medals were issued to the this tiny unit.

The medal is in practically mint state condition on it's original cotton & silk ribbon. An excellent medal for a type collection.
