[BIOGRAPHY]
Charles Robins was born in Tewksbury in Gloucestershire in 1873 and being a farm labourer aged 20 upon his enlistment at Cheltenham on 16th January 1893 was living with his father at Walton Hill, Tewksbury. He held a 2nd class certificate of education. He was 5ft 6" tall, with fresh complexion, blue eyes and light brown hair. He served in India for 8 years and 289 days from 26th February 1894 'till 11th December 1902 and later served in Malta for 126 days during 1904.

He was discharged on 15th January 1905 after exactly 12 years service and returned to live with his father.
