A MAGNIFICENT & VERY RARE (BRITISH ARMY) "CANADA GENERAL SERVICE MEDAL" (FENIAN RAID 1866) To: 1185. Cpl C. ALLEN. 4/60 K.R.R. (Kings Royal Rifles) MINT STATE, WITH ORIGINAL CASE & RIBBON
A TRULY MAGNIFICENT & VERY RARE (BRITISH ARMY) "CANADA GENERAL SERVICE MEDAL" (FENIAN RAID 1866)
To: 1185. Cpl C. ALLEN. 4/60 K.R.R. (Kings Royal Rifles)
"Totally Mint State" on its original ribbon and in its original gold embossed red leather, satin & blue velvet presentation case.
Also with contemporary newspaper cuttings detailing the issue.
OFFICIALLY ENGRAVED: 1185. Cpl C. ALLEN. 4/60 K.R.R. Of the 16,100 medals issued, only 1,100 went to British troops
and as such they are excessively illusive. This is one of only 109 medals awarded to 4/60 KRR. This particular medal is almost certainly a unique survivor in "Gem Mint State-As Struck" condition in its original case on its original ribbon. We've never encountered another one. If you collect only the best "Specimen" type medals in superlative quality, then this is for you.
If this was a PCGS graded coin it would be "MS 67"
With Copy Roll
Totally Stunning and Probably Unique !
