An Important “Gallipoli W Beach Landings” 1st LANCASHIRE FUSILLIERS MEMORIAL PLAQUE To: 2715 Pte. Patrick LENNARD.1st Bn Lancashire Fusiliers. KILLED IN ACTION 25th April 1915 at 'W' Beach Gallipoli. (1st Day of The Gallipoli Landings) The 1st Lancashire Regt famously won SIX VICTORIA CROSSES BEFORE BREAKFAST on 25th April 1915. The M.I.C. of Patrick Lennard states KILLED IN ACTION 25-4-15 and he’s also recorded as such in the L.F’s official history. In reality, he was almost certainly killed while in one of the “A” company landing boats or actually on W beach. Patrick is also entitled to a 1914-15 Star Trio. DO YOU HAVE THEM? The Lancashire Fusilliers lost 533 men, killed , wounded & missing on “W” Beach on 25th April 1915, so it’s the 105th Anniversary this coming Saturday. The plaque which is practically mint comes with copy MIC and copy of relevant pages of Lancashire Fusiliers Annual giving details of those killed & wounded at “W beach” (Lancashire Landing) on 25/4/1915. The plaque also comes with the official Preston LF Records Office 1914-15 Star issue family confirmation letter. SOLD
