The medal is now superbly suspended on it's previously lost Contemporary Dated (18th June 1815 ) & Engraved Silver Private Suspension which is neatly attached to a slightly carved and ornate silver top mount which is closely reminisant of the original mild steel clip.
The 3rd/14th regiment was formed in 1813 wholly of men from Buckinghamshire and was disbanded in 1816.
Known as 'THE IRON GUARDS', JOSEPH CAY fought the Battle of Waterloo on Sunday 18th June 1815 as part of Captain Richard Adam's Company.
An attractive and desirable medal.
