An Unusual & VERY High Grade (EF)
WATERLOO MEDAL
On a Contemporary, Uniquely Designed & Dated (18th JUNE 1815)
Silver suspender & "10th RL HUSSARS" silver clasp.THIS IS AS NICE AS THEY COME !
This is a highly attractive & unusual example, and is greatly suitable as a framed "WELLINGTON & WATERLOO" display item.
The medal has been contemporarily re-named to a fully entitled recipient and the engraved naming is in a good & classic early 19th Century Capital Serif Style. Clearly someone lost his original medal and had a replacement professionally produced.
£1450 outright.
(This one would be £3500 if officially impressed)
We rarely list re-named medals but this is offered as a bit of Fun as a Part Exchange....or as a complete swop !
(NOTE!!!... It's so good looking that it's now hanging on the wall in our business office !! )
