[BIOGRAPHY]
George Paul was born about 1823 in BEDMINSTER, DORSET and having been employed as a groom enlisted in the army in Bridgwater on 3rd October 1840 at age 17 and 6 months.
He served in West India, Corfu, Malta, Gibraltar, Turkey and the Crimea.
He served for 24 years with a discharge on 11th April 1862 at age 39. He was 5ft 6" tall with fresh complexion, hazel eyes and light brown hair. He planned to reside in Yeovil on discharge.
Also entitled to an LSGC.
