[DEFENCE OF MAFEKING]Medals to Mafeking Defenders are the Creme de La Creme of the QSA series. These are Very Seldom seen even as singles, so to see a multi-clasp medal with a further scarce campaign medal in a matched pair is truly an outstanding situation. This pair has the added cachet of being to a man who served in four different Policing and mounted units, the first two of which are represented by these two very rare and exceptional medals. [RESEARCH]
Following extensive research we can only find one vaguely similar pair which comprised a single “Defender” clasp QSA with a BSAC medal. This pairing, which even had some re-impressing naming issues on the QSA sold several years ago at £5000.
Both of Trooper Green’s wonderful medals which come with copy rolls are totally correct in every respect and are in matching EF+ condition on original ribbon and represent a truly top flight pair fit for the finest collection.
