This is an extraordinarily desirable gallantry group to a very senior Army surgical and medical practitioner who in his time was the head of medical services for some major units of the Indian Army.

He also very unusually received no less than “three” mentions in despatches for his distinguished services during the Indian Mutiny and he was later awarded a C.B. (Military) for his fine medical contributions on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the mutiny in 1907.

The Royal Army Museum collection apparently holds several important campaign description documents which were written by Dr ETESON


The group comes complete with an extensive file of excellent research which now includes a photograph of Dr Eteson.
