For "Devotion" during the Gallipoli & Dardanelles campaign. Thomas Hollinshead entered Theatre 2B (Balkans) on 13th July 1915 and took part in the allied attack on Achi Baba Nullah, Helles.



AN INTERESTING (MESOPOTAMIA) "MERITORIOUS SERVICE MEDAL To: 10041 Sgt T.Hollinshead. 7th North Staffs Rgt. For "Devotion" during the Gallipoli & Dardanelles campaign. His M.S.M. card is unusually marked "DEVOTION".
His award was published in the London Gazette of 16th August 1917.



Thomas later served with the Northumberland Fusiliers as Sgt 57020. He is also entitled to a 1915 Star Trio.
