[BIOGRAPHY]
Thomas Stuart was born in Liverpool in 1877 and enlisted into the Army on 1st September 1914 at age 37. He arrived in France on 4th March 1915.
He was wounded at some time prior to August 1917 and discharged as “no longer fit for military service” on 17th August 1917 aged 40.

He received a silver war badge number 307266 on 22nd January 1918 at age 41.

An interesting medal. The medal index card for this man was originally & incorrectly named as STEWART, but this incorrect spelling was luckily spotted BEFORE it got to the medal office.
The spelling on the card was duly amended under Authority “34b” as can be seen by the remains of the red under script on the card.
So the MM itself was correctly named to STUART.
Also entitled to a 1914-15 Star Trio.

PRACTICALLY MINT STATE & clearly never worn.
