To:

Temp Captain (A/Major), Kenneth  Campbell  Tailyour, R.F.A.
(Citation for M.C. 21st March 1918.)

“His battery was heavily and continuously shelled while in action. One gun was knocked out and several casualties occurred, but owing to his coolness and skillful leadership the whole of the barrage program was carried out. He then withdrew his men to a flank and himself remained alone at the telephone under heavy fire in case of an SOS. He displayed the greatest gallantry and contempt of danger, and set a magnificent example to his men.”

(NOTE): Major K.C. Tailyour M.C. was the elder brother of Lieut; R.K. Tailyour A.F.C.  R.F.C. who won The Air Force Cross with the RFC & RAF .
