[BIOGRAPHY]
Joseph Clark was born in May 1883 in Lincoln. He had been an 18 year old Sawyer prior to enlistment and was living in Schofield near Bradford in Yorkshire. He signed on at Bradford on 8th August 1901. He was a short lad of only 5' 2" with hazel eyes and dark brown hair. He spelled his name as CLARK (without the E) so it was the army clerks who got it wrong on his QSA & IGS.
