Captain G.H. ARLINGTON was a Urology and VD Specialist and entered France 21st June 1915 wit the RAMC. His younger brother HAROLD DARLINGTON entered a few days earlier on 29 May 1915 with 8th Royal Fusilers. HAROLD died at the Battle of Loos on 15th March 1915 and is buried at VERMELLES BRITISH CEMETERY (II.J.11) his grave being brought in from its original resting place on the battlefield. The then Major G.H. Darlington, was transfered back to England and became the C/O of the specialist Venereal disease unit at Chisledon Hospital.
Both men were from LIVERPOOL and resided at the same address of
19 Parkway, Liverpool.
Sons of John and Elizabeth Jane Darlington of the same address.
