William Spence enlisted on 10th October 1912 and was a classic pre-war regular who became known as an Old Contemptible.
He entered France on 10th November 1914 and was clearly wounded or became sick at some point before his early discharge on 20th December 1917.
NOTE: We just had to buy this group as it's perhaps a "miracle' survivor.
 It was purchased recently in three parts ... First the star and war medal came along, then the Silver War Badge surfaced.....and then, in an action of complete chance, the Victory was purchased!
