"Throughout the campaign in NW Europe BSM LLOYD has been BSM of 104 Med Bty 77 (DLOY) Med Regt RA.
On several occasions he has directed the dumping of amn in forward areas under hostile fire.
On one occasion at St Croix Grande Tonne he climbed into a loaded tractor which had been set on fire by an enemy shell and with complete
disregard for his own safety put out the fire and thereby prevented a serious explosion.
His constant fearlessness and cheerfulness in dangerous situations have been an inspiration to every NCO and man serving with him.
An excellent award based on this senior NCO's bravery during the D-Day invasion and later.
Comes with copy of citation document and the original Buckingham Palace award notification from King George V.
