A RARE I.G.S. (PUNJAB FRONTIER,1897-98) 1914 Star & Bar Trio, LSGC. 1/Gordon Highrs. To: 5207. Pte- L/Sgt. F.S. SKELLEY 1/GORDON HIGHLANDERS. A lovely group of five to an early pre-war regular soldier (same service number throughout) who was sadly captured on the 3rd day of World War 1. (26th August 1914) Arrived in Holland on transfer from Germany for internment on 24th February 1918. Notified by The Hague. Repatriated 18th November 1918. Discharged (2nd Engagement) 27th March 1919. From Aberdeen With MIC and copy attestation and servicer papers etc. -Note- Skelley's father won the DCM with the Gordons in Egypt - ( see pictures in main text )
